FILMING ON LOCATION WITH HOODLUM FILM FIXERS JORDAN IN AMMAN

Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a modern city with numerous ancient ruins. Atop Jabal al-Qala’a hill, the historic Citadel includes the pillars of the Roman Temple of Hercules and the 8th-century Umayyad Palace complex, known for its grand dome. Built into a different downtown hillside, the Roman Theatre is a 6,000-capacity, 2nd-century stone amphitheatre offering occasional events.

Our local fixers with share articles on some of the film locations over the next few weeks which can be accessed in the news section on our website https://hoodlum.tv/news/

This region is stunningly beautiful, and it’s easy to see why so many directors and location scouts love shooting here. The landscape is a setting for powerful stories.

Amman has served as a location for several feature films. Home to several impressive historical structures such as the Amman Citadel, The Roman Theatre and the historic area of Jabal Amman. There are also parts of the city where a modern high-rise district is under development.

Electronic visas can be obtained on arrival in Amman. Film permits are managed by The Royal Film Commission. Permits take between 5 and 30 days to process so allow enough time when planning a film production in Jordan.
