WHAT OUR FILM FIXERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT FILMING ON LOCATION IN REUNION
Tropical black sand surf beaches, white beaches with coral reefs, volcano, the Piton de la Fournaise ,which last erupted in 2007 ,cooled black volcanic rock, rivers & waterfalls, the island’s highest mountain, Piton des Neiges , alpine peaks, cliffs, gorges and valleys offer filmmakers locations with a difference.
La Réunion has an abundance of plant life and tropical fruit plantations of banana, lychee, mango and pineapple to name a few. Sugarcane is also grown in abundance and old sugar cane mills make for great locations.
Film permits are quick and easy to obtain. Filming in national parks and protected areas have obvious restrictions. It is recommended to enlist the services of a local production service company or location manager. Allow two weeks for the processing of filming permits.
