Film, commercial, documentary, television, reality, and music video productions are handled through the Ministry of Culture route and require a local production company. News and journalist activity is handled through the Prime Minister’s Office route. Tunisia’s film sector sits under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, and the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image (CNCI) is the public body under that ministry responsible for cinema and audiovisual policy.
